Truman State University lost to Missouri-St. Louis 3-1 in volleyball Friday at the Mark Twain Building in St. Louis, despite 18 kills by Laci Neece, of Truman State.
Missouri-St. Louis won the Great Lakes Valley Conference match 25-22, 19-25, 25-19 and 25-21.
Neece also had three aces, three block assists and nine digs, according to the box score. Autumn Erickson, of Truman State, had 12 kills. Tori Creason, of Truman State, had 41 assists, 11 digs and three aces. Addy Janssen, of Truman State, had 29 digs.
Maggie Johnson and Bridget Cassady, of Missouri-St. Louis, each had 18 kills. Alayna Santel, of Missouri-St. Louis, had 15 kills. Marly Burbach, of Missouri-St. Louis, had 57 assists.
Missouri-St. Louis hit .301 to Truman State's .172 and finished with 63 kills to 52, 10 blocks to four and 85 digs to 75. Truman State had 10 aces to three.
Attendance was 247.
Truman State is 6-9 and 2-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Missouri-St. Louis is 10-5 and 5-0.
Truman State plays at McKendree at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in Lebanon, Illinois.
