Truman State University beat Illinois Springfield 1-0 in women's soccer Wednesday at Kiwanis Stadium in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.
Mackenzie Wright, of Truman State, scored at 39:12 on an assist from Sam Busch, of Truman State.
Illinois Springfield outshot Truman State 12-7 and put five shots on goal to five. Mikayla Thomas, of Truman State, played all 90 minutes and made five saves for the shutout. Gigi Yurevich, of Illinois Springfield, played all 90 minutes and made three saves. Illinois Springfield had six corner kicks to Truman State's none. Truman State was called for seven fouls to eight for Illinois Springfield.
