Truman State 1, Illinois Springfield 0 in men’s soccer

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Truman State University beat Illinois Springfield 1-0 in men's soccer Wednesday at Kiwanis Stadium in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.

Brady Lombardo, of Truman State, scored at 54:34 for his third goal of the season.

Illinois Springfield outshot Truman State 12-9 and put three shots on goal to three. Owen Robben, of Truman State, played all 90 minutes and made three saves for the shutout. Joe Brudnak, of Illinois Springfield, played all 90 minutes and made two saves. Illinois Springfield had four corner kicks to Truman State's three. Truman State was called for 15 fouls to 21 for Illinois Springfield.

A yellow card went to Braden Hannan, of Truman State, at 16:33. Hannan, of Truman State, received a red card at 21:15 after a second yellow. Yellow cards also went to Cameron Frye, of Illinois Springfield, at 49:25 and Edon Saipi, of Illinois Springfield, at 58:08.

Attendance was 200.
