Macon R-I board OKs Aug. 18 minutes at Sept. 2 work session, 6-0

The Macon County R-I Board of Education approved its Aug. 18 open-session minutes on a 6-0 vote at a Sept. 2 work session, according to approved minutes.

Greg Bruno moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. Bruce Weimer seconded. Bruno, Donny Wyatt, Board President Stacy Quinn, Lydia McClellan, Millicent Dawdy, and Weimer voted for the motion, according to the minutes. The work-session agenda listed that consent item as approval of the Aug. 18 open-session minutes.

The board earlier approved the work-session agenda 6-0. Wyatt moved and McClellan seconded. The same six members voted for that motion.

The agenda's business item was a board work session with Jim Hinson of EGL. The approved minutes list a Board Work Session heading and record no discussion or further board action under it.

McClellan moved to adjourn at 6:21 p.m. Wyatt seconded. The vote was again 6-0 among Bruno, Wyatt, Quinn, McClellan, Dawdy, and Weimer.

Quinn called the meeting to order at 5 p.m. at the District Administration Building, 902 N. Missouri St., and established a quorum. Present in the room were Bruno, Wyatt, Quinn, McClellan, Dawdy, and Weimer. Nick Dille joined by phone. Dille's name does not appear on the vote lists in the minutes.

The Sept. 2 work-session minutes are marked approved and note approval on Sept. 16.
